The Carmel New Church School
The school has been a major focus of our congegation for over 100 years, officially opening its doors in 1892! We offer a comprehensive educational program all the way from Junior Kindergarten through Grade Ten. Our statement of philosophy tells you all you need to know about our wonderful school.
The Carmel Church School is an independant Christian Elementary School that seeks to educate children in a holistic manner that promotes their spiritual, academic, emotional, social, and physical well-being.
Spiritually we emphasize a knowledge, love, and obedience to the Lord's Word. We seek to inspire an awe love and respect for their Creator and an appreciation of the wonders of His creation.
Academically we adhere to the Ontario Curriculum and try to bring the subjects to life by teaching through all five of the senses, to properly reach auditory, visual, and kinesthetic learners equally.
Emotionally we strive to develop a child's self-confidence and self-esteem by helping them to discover their own unique gifts and abilities. And to realize that developing good work habits and doing the best that they can, will ultimately help them to be successful and happy later in life.
Socially we demand charitable behavior and respect for others regardless of gender, race, or creed. We provide an orderly, safe, and nurturing environment which we believe gives them the proper structure in which to learn, play, and form friendships.
Physically, we encourage proper diet, sleep, and exercise since all of the above aspects of the soul and mind find their resting place in the body.
Lastly, at the Carmel Church School we try to preserve and promote the innocence of our children and provide a loving peaceful place where their can grow to become productive and caring people both in this life and the next.
