Love consists in wanting to share what we have,
and in feeling the joy of someone else as our own joy.
That is what it means to love.

REMEMBER - What Would Jesus Do?
Whoever does not love, does not know God,
for God is love. 1 John 4:8
Remember the expression “What would Jesus do?” The phrase permeated Christian pop-culture during the 1990s. People wore WWJD bracelets, pasted the phrase on bumpers, and recalled it when standing up for the weak. For many, it was not just a catchy phrase, but a powerful reminder to live in integrity.
What did Jesus do that so many people wanted to emulate? He showed gentleness and humility, but also spoke up courageously for the poor, the oppressed, the lepers, the adulterers, the sinners and the outcasts. He not only spoke up for them but he touched them, sat with them, ate with them, loved them, was one of them and didn’t put himself above them. He said, I am among you as one who serves. (Luke 22:27) He was an example of love in action.
Today, though we see the expression much less often, its essence remains: we want our choices to show that love is our highest priority.
That’s what this program is all about. What Would Love Do? is a Bible-based curriculum for putting love into action. What kind of love are we talking about? The kind that is not blind, but wise. The kind of love that can survey a challenging circumstance, and offer what is needed. This kind of wise love can be gentle, leading us to admit our faults and ask for forgiveness, or it can be firm, calling us to resist injustice.
It is about developing an open-hearted, open-minded attitude so that our actions naturally flow from our love for others. With this kind of attitude, we don’t have to work so hard to do good. Good things will certainly happen if we choose to act from love, and if we have a willingness to be loved by others along the way.
So thank you for joining us. We hope you experience many blessings as you discover ways to practice doing “what love would do.”

7: Love Rejoices
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
